When straylining, the Black Magic 
two-hook strayline rigs which are 
pre-tied and ready straight from the 
packet are another useful product 
that makes it easy. They simply 
attach to his swivel, then baits up 
with a whole pilly and casts out.
Beaver has caught snapper up to 
16lb, but his bucket list fish is to 
land that 20lb trophy, along with a 
first marlin off his Rayglass when he 
gets more time to spend a few days 
trolling over the summer period.
Kingfish are also high on the 
wanted list and when he wants to 
put out a live bait, he rates the Black 
“I have always loved getting 
out on the water and now 
that I have my own boat, we 
use it as much as we can 
with the kids and mates 
coming along.”
The Black Magic Sunakku 
Slider is becoming a favourite 
snapper jig for Beaver after good 
success using it over summer.
