finally grew into a passion for
building quality knives.
If my old bosses had ever found
out just why the gas bill for the
workshop forge was always so
high, I would have got my butt
kicked! As time ticked on with
different employment, I lost access
to the materials and equipment
to hammer forge these things of
beauty, but I never lost the passion.

This background brings things up to
date and why I am starting back to
the future on something at retirement
age. While the body due to wear
and tear on rotor cuffs and joints
won’t let me hand hammer forge
anymore, and the wife won’t let me
spend our retirement funds on a forge
and hydraulic hammer anvil either.

From there my interest
grew in knives. It started
from a need and turned
into experimentation with
different steels and then
finally grew into a passion
for building quality knives.
