aving worked in the fishing 
media space since 2003 
(geez over 23 years), I 
have operated and fished 
in a lot of different trailer 
boats, with many powered 
by Honda outboards.  Four of these 
alloy boats, including the current 
Oceanpro 535 also had a BF90hp 
motor matched to the boat.  I can 
honestly say with a cup of coffee 
in hand and my four-year-old 
daughter by my side (I can’t lie to 
her), that these motors performed 
faultlessly and I never had any 
mechanical issues on the water.
We all know that things can happen 
with engines out on the ocean and 
yes, little things have happened to 
me with fuel line issues, sea water 
in filters, or power-battery problems 
which were usually in other people's 
boats, and thankfully easily fixed on 
the water.  But we all want a reliable 
motor to get us home safely and for 
that reason, the Honda BF90hp gets 
a giant tick from me and is why we 
have chosen it to power the boat.
