I haven’t seen this before on a centre console alloy boat and think it is a game changer for adopting. Mike has also built a large T-Top roof to provide ultimate shade on those sweltering summer days for the crew, with good grab rails underneath. The console seating is also comfortable and clever with the chilly bin stored underneath and out of the way to maximise room in the boat. Mike let me take over the helm and I loved the dash layout with large Lowrance 12" Elite fish finder/GPS, Honda digital gauge for outboard performance, Kicker Marine Digital Stereo/speakers, Lowrance VHF, SeaFlo auto-bilge, USB charger for mobile phones and Maxwell winch. The wind was gusting from 10 – 18 knots as I headed with it following behind towards Slipper Island and the boat wasn’t bothered at all as we cruised comfortably at over 20 knots in the messy, choppy conditions. U-DEK flooring has been used throughout the boat which looks stunning in blue/black and we love the seating with fish bin storage. The enclosed windscreen design is a game changer for a console boat and the helm’s dash is well appointed with latest tech at hand for the skipper. 30 FISHING IN GODZONE MAGAZINE Tested Oceanpro 580CC
