Just remember you need to take a
good-sized fish bin if you are fishing
with a couple of mates out west.
We arrived back at the ramp by
3pm and the guys in the Rayglass
had just beat us in and landed
14 snapper also at the graveyard,
they were happy anglers and
had a good day out west too.
Later back at the house and filleting
the catch, the fillets were in amazing
condition with fat slicks all over
the blade of the Katanza filleting
knife and floating on the surface
of the bucket of sea water used to
clean down the fillets. They tasted
so good that night when panfried
in oil and butter with light panko
crumbs, the snapper would have to
be up there as some of the best I
have had. A big call but these west
coast fish are in superb condition.
A bin full of prime Kaipara pannies.
The condition of the west coast fish was
superb, and you can see the fat slicks over
the blade of the 8" Katanza filleting knife.
