Brian had a good look and could 
see a couple of black goats out 
from the bush and in the long grass, 
and he also spotted a smaller black 
animal that was almost hidden in 
the grass.  “There’s a pig up there 
feeding with them!”  Brian exclaimed 
as he as passed me the binos to 
take a look.  Sure enough he was 
right, there was a pig moving about 
and feeding alongside the goats.
Brian commented, “Do you want to 
walk up with the bow and we have 
a crack?”  He didn’t have to ask me 
twice, so he fetched his bow from 
the ute, and we quickly got ready 
to walk the short but very steep 
distance to where the goats and 
pig were feeding out in the open.
Brian hunts using a Bear Arena 33 
compound bow with Black Eagle 
350 arrows, which have Ozcut 
3-blade broadheads.  They are razor 
sharp and provide a solid punch 
to any animal including deer, pigs, 
goats, and wild sheep for which 
he has successfully hunted.
Brian walks into the native bush very 
quietly and slow, so not to disturb any 
unseen animals on the stalk to the pig.
Brian checks out a good wallow 
on the edge of the bush.
