b'Feature It was one of the best days we had experienced for conditions and snapper fishing this spring and Anglers Lodge is so well set up, it just makes everything so easy.Moving out into deeper water over 45m and just after 1pm with the last hour till low tide, the sun was super-hot and the sea glassy, with water temperature on the Lowrance going 21 degrees! It was feeling more like late summer than late spring. We found deep sign and dropped our jigs down to work the area, when I was soon connected to a fish that woke up and started taking line.It felt like another good fish, but again with these Lanza solid carbon rods, I couldnt guess how big it might be.Arriving back in the afternoon andThis fish took longer than the last the tractor parked the Oceanpro centre console by the streamone, and it would take line back as opposite the filleting station. I lifted it up towards the surface.I thought it was a good fish butThe filleting station at Anglers when Graeme saw it and struggledLodge is well set up for anglers to get it into the net, we were bothto deal with their catch and feed surprised it was a lot bigger thanscraps to the waiting eels.we thought. We have discovered that with the power in the new Lanza SCT blanks, the solid carbon technology gives you so much lifting power on fish that they come up a lot quicker. This fish was unfortunately blown as it was caught in 40m of water and even leaving it in the net to try and recover didnt help, so we had to keep it, and when measured it was just over 70cm.The workup action soon dropped away after some hectic action, and we decided to head out deeper to look for bigger snapper or kingfish which we were hoping to find under the workups.16FISHING IN GODZONE MAGAZINE'
